The Best Way To Watch TV And Movies
Modern technology has brought us conveniences never conceived twenty years ago. Some of them are to make our lives more efficient and others are for pure entertainment. That is where advertisers produce ads that make you believe you can live without these appliances. Video game consoles are such an appliance. Kids are begging their parents to buy one for them. They want to play video games and pretend to be Tiger Woods with the WII system. Each version of these consoles is becoming more advanced.
If there are children in the house, these consoles are a must. If you don't already own you're your kids will hound you until they have one. Where as they once they were only used to play games, the capabilities they now possess are amazing. PS3 play DVD's and Blu-ray discs as well. If you haven't been fortunate to watch a DVD with BD, you have to try it. The difference is astonishing. The clarity and realism it brings to the screen is something everyone needs to experience at least once. You may get so hooked; you will never purchase another DVD with BD again.
Iron Man and Star Trek look wicked awesome on BD and it is like watching it in the theater, only better because no one is kicking your chair from behind and the floor isn't sticky. A stand alone Blu-ray player can be found for less than two hundred dollars, but for that price, you might as well get yourself a PS3 and gain all of its other benefits.
You may not be aware of some of the things you can accomplish on these consoles. You can download your music and pictures and even surf the web. Most kids use it to primary play games. It also has the capability to download movies, television shows and all kinds of games. Blockbuster, here comes your competition.
Just be sure to hook the console to the television with an HDMI cable, which for the price of the console you would think was included, but it isn't. You have to buy your own. They can get pretty expensive, ranging from under twenty dollars all the way up to a hundred dollars. Most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between most of the cables and don't really need the top of the top of the line. I never recommend getting the cheapest either, find something in the middle and you will probably be happy with the results. You do need this HDMI cable to watch the shows in HD though.
